Report Copies may be obtained either in person during regular business hours or by written request. There is a $10.00 charge for the first 5 pages and an additional .25 cents per each page thereafter. Copies may be requested by mail. Send your written request along with a self- addressed stamped envelope with your check to:

Report copies are available within 7 to 10 working days from the date the report was taken. Report copies are not available to suspects or persons under investigation; when cases are under investigation; or if there is cause to believe that the welfare of other individuals may be in jeopardy by the releasing of the report. |
Vehicles, property, & safekeeping articles are available for release during the hours of 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, as time is required to process the necessary paperwork.
Vehicle releases may require a service fee and will only be released to the registered owner or their designee with a permission statement from the legal owner. Proof of insurance and registration are also required.
Property, including vehicles, that have been confiscated or impounded in the course of an investigation as evidence, will not be released until the investigation has been completed and/or a written order from the Amador County District Attorney's office has been received. |
